Take the codex with you

On a computer: the ZIP

The whole site in six languages, with the interactive figures and the search. Unzip it and open index.html in a web browser. Nothing to install.

Download the ZIP

On a phone or a local network: Kiwix

The same content as one .zim file, for the free Kiwix app (Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, Linux). A Raspberry Pi running Kiwix can serve it to every device on a Wi-Fi network with no internet access. Install Kiwix, then open the file in it.

On paper: the PDF book

Every plate with its text, key figures and sources, in rebuild order. The interactive figures are left out. One file per language. A4, to print double-sided. Each plate starts on a new page.

Sizes and fingerprints appear here once the files are published.

Check a copy

The SHA-256 fingerprint under each file changes if a single byte does. Compute your copy's and compare, here for the ZIP:

macOS, Linux
shasum -a 256 lastcodex.zip
Windows
certutil -hashfile lastcodex.zip SHA256

Every fingerprint of this release: SHA256SUMS
